What is your cancellation policy?
We know that life sometimes gets in the way. That’s why we try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to canceling appointments. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your set appointment, we’ll do our best to set up a better slot for you, no questions asked. If you cancel with less than 24 hours to go, we will charge 50% of the booked service cost.
NO SHOWS will be charged the full 100% of the requested service cost.
What about group cancellations?
For groups of 3 or more people:
Cancelations within 48 hours will result in a 50% charge of all services reserved.
Cancelations within 24 hours will result in a 100% charge of all services reserved
NO SHOWS will be charged the full 100% of the requested service cost.
What happens if I arrive late to my appointment?
If you are running late, please call the salon so we can try to accommodate your services and provide you with further options if needed.
If you are more than 10 minutes late we will likely need to modify your appointment to a shorter service, you will be charged the full price of the service you booked your appointment for.
(we absolutely respect our nail techs' time + pride ourselves in providing all of our clients the best experience at H&E, which is why we encourage all of our clients to be on time)
I have dip/or gel on my nails already what do I do?
If you will be coming to your appointment with dipping powder or gel polish on your nails we need you to book a dip or gel removal along with the service you request. Stating in the notes of your appointment that you have dip or gel on, unfortunately, does not automatically book removal time, we ask that you book a removal at the time you book your service. Failure to book a removal may result in a modification of the booked service, to a shorter one, to maintain everyone's schedule.
I want nail art or french tips!
If you are looking for fun, beautiful, handpainted nail art you have come to the right place! Nail art is such a fun way to express yourself, but it does take additional time. Please be sure to book nail art or french tips when you make your appointment. You can book by the number of fingers, for french tips, and for detailed nail art.
If you do not book extra time for nail art we may not be able to do the art you want!

Do you offer acrylic services?
No, we do not offer acrylic services. At H&E we prioritize taking care of the natural nail, and we prefer to use more natural alternatives to acrylic nails that offer the same look and feel. Please ask about our dipping powder with tips, Apres Gel-X Sets, or Builder gel sets if you're interested!
Also, because we do not offer acrylic services we are unable to remove any acrylic nails; so be sure to have clean nails.
Where is the best place to park?
For our City Center location, we find that the easiest place to park is on Free Street or State Street. If you prefer to park in a garage, the closest would be Temple Street Parking Garage or the Free Street Parking Garage.
For our Middle Street location, we suggest street parking on Middle Street, Hancock Street, or India Street.
